The Buddhagaya Centre of the Maha Bodhi Society of India observed a three-day Kathina Cīvara Dāna Ceremony from 31 October to 2 November 2025 with deep devotion and spiritual solemnity.
The programme included Buddha Puja and the observance of the Eight Precepts at the Sacred Bodhi Tree, Dhamma sermons, Gilanpasa Dāna, Maha Paritta chanting, Kheer Prasad distribution, and a grand Kathina Robe Procession to the Mahabodhi Mahāvihāra.
The celebration concluded with a Sangha Dāna, attended by Venerable Bhikkhus, Lamas, and Bhikkhunis from various Buddhist temples and institutions in Buddhagaya, reflecting the unity and harmony of the international Buddhist community.
The ceremony was generously supported by Mr. Arthur and Mrs. Edna Senanayake and their family, in loving memory of their late son, Alastair Yaswanth Senanayake.
